One perfect weekend destination is maybe surprisingly New York. I say surprisingly because the flight is around seven hours long which may seem excessive for a weekend and yet the time difference means that you get a whole weekend there, even though you may arrive home a little tired.
New York is actually quite an inexpensive weekend destination. You can get some pretty cheap flights as competition is fierce and it is easy to find Cheap lodgings in Manhattan or another part of the city. Book ahead due to the new entrance regulations though or you may find yourself unable to fly.
Many people visit new York for the wonderful shopping, or just to take in the friendly and relaxed city which is always alive at any time of day or night. You will never be bored in New York, whether you are in Times Square or just walking the streets and savouring the atmosphere.
